On the 15th May 2015 the Futaba Corporation reached an agreement with Ripmax Limited where by Ripmax would, with immediate effect, take over the distribution of Futaba’s products previously provided by Robbe Modellsport.

Yoichi Yamamoto, Futaba’s General Manager said “We are delighted to have selected Ripmax, with whom we have been trading for almost 50 years, to step in as a replacement distributor for Robbe following its insolvency. In particular having worked with Ripmax for so long we are absolutely confident that they will be able to provide the same high standards of customer service that they currently do for their UK customers to those customers who previously dealt with Robbe”.

Nick Moss, CEO of Ripmax said “It is a tremendous honour to have been entrusted with Futaba’s distribution for Robbe’s territories. Ripmax has a wealth of experience and expertise with the Futaba product range and that will invaluable in supplying and supporting Futaba customers in these important markets. Naturally, following the disruption to the market caused by the uncertainty of Robbe being placed into administration, it will take some time before the levels of supply and service return to normal. We hope to be in a position to supply substantially all of the Futaba product range by the end of June 2015. It is our intention that sales and service staff will be based in Germany, to ensure the best possible support for customers and end users.”
